Hey There!

I'm Sam; photographer, boy mom, wife, geologist, ceramicist, transplant of Chicago and seasonal strawberry jam maker.

While in college I wanted to be so many things that photography took a back seat in my life. After 5 years in my career, I realized I was missing a creative outlet that I so desperately missed. So I went out, bought a DSLR camera, took a class on how the gosh-darn-thing worked, and the rest is history.

At first I was content capturing images of my son, but the more I studied and learned, the more excited I became. I wanted to take pictures for EVERYONE! And I wanted them to LOVE their pictures. So I kept studying, focusing my craft and even won a few awards in the process.

I find photography to be such a personal thing - to be asked to photograph someone's engagement or kiddo's first birthday - it's such an honor! I want the experience to be fun, engaging and something you'll look on with fond memories. I create every photo shoot for YOU the client. Who are we capturing today?
